Review:

WiseGuyz is a Boston Machine/Group that started in the 90's and after a 20 something year gap, the entire crew are mostly back with a NEW cast of MC's. And they brought some heavy spitters & hitters! The group was put back together by an original member and leading MC in Boston, Mann Terror in 2018 along with Surrender Recording member Sean Pitts.

Original members Mike NcNeil, Jimmy Marsh, Bel Nel Mike and St. James are also on-board trying to bring that Beantown Sound back and stronger than ever. They recruited the BEST MC's in the Boston Hoods once again. With generational elite MC's like, BlackQuis, Hot Sauce, 2Face, Prince Rich, DAHK Manna, Brass John, Dejavu and a couple more lyrical hitters, Boston is BACK on the MAP.

With New York always in the mix when it comes to East Coast Hip-Hop, Boston takes a backseat usually. But with rappers like Joyner Lucas coming out of Worcester, Massachusetts people's ears are pointing towards our Statues (Paul Revere OR George Washington).

Boston has always played second fiddle when it comes to Hip-Hop period. Yes, we know Hip-Hop started in NYC. Yes we know most of the HOT MC's are not here. But we also know, if you listen close to this ALBUM, you will change your mind. You will NOT regret giving Boston that spotlight and stage after hearing this PROJECT. #BeanTownHipHop

The most famous rappers from the Bean are Edo G., Guru from Gangstarr, Termanology and RSO. And if your not on these gents, please do your homework. My leading point is, that the MC's on this album are about to become your favorites. And they have potential to be Worldwide Favorites as well.

*Check out NEW projects from Gangstarr (One Of The Best Yet) and Statik Selektah (1982: The Quarantine).

Mann Terror is the MAIN MC on this record teasing us with his lyrical wittiness. He leaves us wanting more and highly anticipating his SOLO project. Mr. Terror quotes, "We chasing this bread, I stay with the steal, I know you don't like it, but fuck how your feel". - Million A Week

Even though Mann Terror is a highlight of this album, Lyrical Newbies like Black Quis, Prince Rich and Brass have something to say on "Groove Tonight". Chorus: "From JP to South End, From Dorchester to Lynn, we BACK at it again. From Chelsea back to Revere, From Brockton to Fall River, Okay we got it from HERE. From the BURY to Mattapan, we gangstas going legit, NO MORE moving it hand to hand." The chorus says it ALL. Boston is coming for those big stages.

On "Survivor", Mann Terror is back with Prince Rich and M3 with a smooth tune that reminds us to keep our heads up. The three rappers take us on trip telling us to keep dreaming and not giving up even when it's tough.

Check out NEW comer Hot Sauce on "Liquid Sunshine". It seems like a track that doesn't belong on the album, but once you start listening deeper, you start to know why it's still gangster. His flow is melodic on this 1970's Black Exportation Movie beat. It's one of my favorites after I listened to it a couple of times.

It's a long album with 22 cuts. But shout out to Big Moe for keeping us entertained throughout with his skits. Who remembers when skits were a big in Hip-Hop? I believe they are making a comeback with these underground stars. I welcome them especially to break up a long album. Any album with over 12 TRACKS needs skits. The WORLDS attention span is less than three minutes.

I love that "Boston Nigga" was the first single. Jv Darapsinga, Mann Terror and Jimmy Marsh did their thing on this joint. The R&Bish head bobbing song with hardcore rhymes KICKS OFFS this album full of Boston MC's. I'm leaning towards either, "Grinding Everyday", "Groove Tonight" or "Survivor" for the NEXT leading single and video.

Shout out to all the Producers on this album. Out of the 18 actual songs with lyrics, 14 are my favorites. 10 TRACKS are in MY 2020 ROTATION. There are so many producers on this album, I have to give them more credit on keeping it sound and blend well. Great job Composers.

Beats get a 4 out of 5. Lyrics get a 3.5 out of 5. And the entire theme and album get a 4 out of 4. Giving the project a 3.8 MICS. Great album Boston. This album just needs better promotion.

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours Dear G Fam Black, Thank you once again for participating in this interview. I know you don’t do many press features, and this is a wonderful chance for your fans to learn a bit about you while still keeping some of that mystery. I truly appreciate it. Peace, G. I’m grateful for this opportunity! - G Fam Black Questions & Answers: 1. Are you originally from Brockton Massachusetts? And where are the best places to eat? Absolutely, I was born and raised in Brockton. There are plenty of great food spots here. For the best chicken, I’d recommend “Yas Chicken” and “Birdies Hot Chicken”, which are both fantastic. For breakfast, I have to mention “Alexander's Family Restaurant”. They’ve been around since I was a kid, and their omelets are incredible. For pizza, “Cape Cod Cafe Pizza” is the way to go—it's the best bar pizza in the world, a true South Shore Massachusetts specialty. A lot of towns near Brockton brag about having the best bar pizza, but th...
