Flee Lord - Lucky 13 Album REVIEW

Flee Lord is a underground veteran MC that's been putting out mad heat recently. He's the equivalent to the 90's Hip-Hop grimy type music. He's a very important part of the resurrection of HOOD THEME BARS and BEATS. He's put out more projects than any NEW rapper in any era.

Review:

Flee Lord is so hood, that he could be made a statue and represent NYC. If your not up on this MC, start doing your homework. He reminds me of that 90's Mobb Deep Flow. He has that distinctive voice that lets you know it's him. Let's you know it's about to get grimy and dangerous.

This is his Lucky 13th album. The recording time-frame is 23:13 too. I see what your up to Mr. Lord. The world has us brainwashed that the number 13 is bad luck. I never fed into that. So the title of this album is very cleaver. And the album cover is just as cleaver. Covers like this influence the Art World.

This LP is made up of 11 bangers and comes equipped with heavy hitter guest features from Conway The Machine, Nems, Daniel Son, Snyp Life, Gutta and DREA.

With BSF heavy hitting producer DJ Shay on the entire production, this album already is in conversation of what's hot out. I'm so with the albums only produced by one person. It seems like those are the ones that are keeping my attention. I believe I'm just missing actual complete albums. Most music nowadays is all over the place with tracks that seem like they don't connect or belong together. This album sounds like an ALBUM.

[Hook:]
It's mostly tha voice, that gets you up
It's mostly tha voice, that makes you buck
A lot of rappers got flavor, and some got skills
But if your voice ain't dope then you need to
[chill... chill... ] - Gangstarr (Hard to Earn) Mostly Tha Voice

I stole Guru's bars for a point I need to make. Most rappers don't have a distinctive voice. Flee Lord has that voice that makes you remember him. If I said Easy E, I bet your imitating his voice now. If I said Guru, I bet your doing the same. Artist like Elcamino, Benny, 38Spesh, Che'Noir, Conway, Westside Gunn, ETO, Stove God Cooks, Knowledge The Pirate and others have that voice. "But if your voice ain't dope then you need to [chill...chill... ] - Guru

"The flow so dirty, but the package is clean. Buying up the bomb, Jenny tying up her arms. I'm on the rooftop, she be crying for her moms. Coping on some new shit, robbed her like a crew ship, Deez came and found her half naked along with blue lips." - Flee Lord (Jenny)

Mr. Lord and Gutta tell their individual stories about Jenny. We all knew a Jenny. A Keisha. A Felicia from FRIDAY. Those are the grimy hood lyrics that make me feel good about Hip-Hop. You can listen to hardcore music and still raise your kids well. Did I? Probably not, but I gave it 100 percent and rhymes like this didn't make me a bad guy. It actually makes me excited. Hip-Hop saved my life back in the days. I was in the streets and Hip-Hop gave me something to do on those late weekend nights. Those same nights that got people I know killed.

RATING 4.0! The production is just as equal to the rhyme pattern. This is a great combination of producer and MC. I hope to hear more from both of these gentlemen. If your reading, THANK YOU for this great piece of work.

If you like that real boom bap underground classic shit, tune in to Flee Lord and myself. Check out the MY YouTube videos on other Hard-Core artist as well. Flee Lord's below.

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours Dear G Fam Black, Thank you once again for participating in this interview. I know you don’t do many press features, and this is a wonderful chance for your fans to learn a bit about you while still keeping some of that mystery. I truly appreciate it. Peace, G. I’m grateful for this opportunity! - G Fam Black Questions & Answers: 1. Are you originally from Brockton Massachusetts? And where are the best places to eat? Absolutely, I was born and raised in Brockton. There are plenty of great food spots here. For the best chicken, I’d recommend “Yas Chicken” and “Birdies Hot Chicken”, which are both fantastic. For breakfast, I have to mention “Alexander's Family Restaurant”. They’ve been around since I was a kid, and their omelets are incredible. For pizza, “Cape Cod Cafe Pizza” is the way to go—it's the best bar pizza in the world, a true South Shore Massachusetts specialty. A lot of towns near Brockton brag about having the best bar pizza, but th...
