Review:
In 1998, The LOX put out their first album called, "Money, Power & Respect". And if you weren't born around that time and listening to Hip-Hop, you have to do a bit of research. It's the only way, "Living Off Xperience" will give you a better experience. That goes with all Hip-Hop acts. Learning your RAP PAST will better your PRESENT and FUTURE.
*The LOX "Money, Power & Respect": The Interview (Pt. 2) [Interlude] If you listen to that skit, you'll realize where they got the title from. Research is important kiddies. It's the skit before the song, "We'll Always Love Big Poppa". #RIPBIG
It's funny how The LOX have been trying to erase some of their past though. The "Shiny PUFF Suit" era. The "Take That, Take That, Take That" beat and rhyme on it era. Signing with Bad Boy was either a gift or a curse. Or BOTH!
When you go back and listen to their previous work, you will realize why they picked some of their tracks on this project. Are the 2020 beats better? Let's discuss below.
Gave It To 'Em
This track was a great beginning to the album. AraabMuzik pulled this beat out of "Boombap" basement. Not sure if that's a synthesizer, but that sound is sinister and matches the groups vocal tones and grimy bars.
Move
The chorus is very catchy. At first, I was like what is this? Then producers Scott Storch and Avedon got me tuned in. And how all three MC's tune in, make the song one of my rotation joints. Jada says it all in his first lines.
[Verse 2: Jadakiss]
You know when I get on a song I enhance it (Uh)
Monopoly with real money, I'ma chance it (Yeah)

Bout Shit Ft. DMX
Now, DMX sounds like he is in rare form on this track. I know I'm being greedy, but I believe Lil' Kim should of been on this joint as well, like the leading '98 track, "Money, Power & Respect". They should of put on the album period. Anyway, this is one of my favorite joints. And Sheek Louch, this is the Anthem, not "Net Worth". Producer Scram Jones put much HEAT on this track for it not to be a top single. Check out the video, they brought the dogs and the bikes back out.
Testify
Producer Vinny Idol did this joint. The group testifies for their sins on this joint if you haven't figured it out by the title. This group is still old school when it comes to naming their songs. It's a okay song. Check out a couple of lines from Styles P.
And I'm sorry lord for my sins
Over my third eye focus my lens
I don't do religion but I pray for my friends
Lord up, testify - Styles P (Testify)

Miss You Ft. T-Pain
Who doesn't like T-Pain? Don't answer that. LOL! Let's just say, this wasn't a good combination. NEXT!!!!!
Story
I liked this concept record a bit. Producer Nottz had my head moving. When you listen to it a couple of times, you start to appreciate how the rappers try something new. The title was corny though. Have a little mystery LOX. Please go listen to Che-Noir's record "12 Hours" on her recently released "As God Intended" produced by Apollo Brown. You'll see the difference of story telling. One of the BEST story tellers that ever did it was the legendary Slick Rick. Do your homework if "Ricky D" just went over your head please. Thanks in advance.
Do To Me
NEXT!!!!! (Skip and go listen to Jadakiss catalog please)
Come Back
Statik Selektah got this track in my 2020 rotation. And I can't get enough of The LOX flow on this joint. I could go without the chorus though. Sorry Sheek, remix please.
Think Of The LOX Ft. Westside Gunn and Benny the Butcher
The LOX and Griselda? Don't be concerned. The Large Professor did the production and Westside Gunn stuck to just the hook, leaving some of the top MC's in the game the court. This song is in the finals. And they did Justice like the League. New Nick Name Alert! (Shout out to Dough Boy) Hip-Hop Justice League.
My America Ft. Oswin Benjamin
NEXT!!!!! (Skip and go listen to Styles P catalog please)
Net Worth
I referred to this track above. Sheek says in the beginning, it's the anthem. NOPE! I do like how all of them go back and fourth though. The beat was simple.
Dirty Dirty Ft. Clay Dub
NEXT!!!!! (Skip and go listen to Sheeks catalog please)
Commitment Ft. Dyce Payne
Finally, a R&B joint that is decent. Shout out to Mr. Payne's voice and chorus fitting the HARDCORE MC'S. If you again go back to The LOX catalog, they continued to work with the hottest R&B singers. Sometimes it pays off and the songs I now skip on this project, DON'T.
This group is gutter and the true fans know this. Trying to make a joint venture with a singer is complicated and it takes talent, chemistry and sometimes luck.
Loyalty And Love
I never heard of producers Jimmy Dukes and Smiley's People, but this track is a great balance of smooth and "Two Step" in the club last song of the night joint. Reminds me of when the lights come on in the club and you realize you been dancing with a goblin, instead of Ms. Berry.
