JAY ELECTRONICA Album REVIEW

Surprise, Surprise and Surprise? We've been expecting a Jay Electronica album sooner than later, but 10 years late? C'Mon Son! Well worth it though. And could we just call this a Duet Album with HOVA? Let's just do that, okay.

Below is the written blog version. I also have a YouTube version below. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel. I love the Hip-Hop Genre and it saved my life on a serious note. Please read other blog to here the story. I'll be reviewing mostly on Friday's because most albums come out that day. I thoroughly listen to them at least 10 times and then I do research if needed.

My daughter and I also have clothing line. Please click below to support. Thanks in advance. Now, BACK to our regularly scheduled REVIEW.

#REVIEW:

This album has an incredible message and it was needed just as much as the Royce Da 5'9 album that came out on 2/11/20. Go check out that Blog and YouTube review as well. This is a mature and sophisticated album, not because the gentlemen are older, but because of the content. YBN Cordae's "The Lost Boy" album is mature and he's only 22. Check him out as well.

The album is like one BIG hip-hop quotable. These lyrical GIANTS are trading bars like their lives depended on it. They trading verses like Jadakiss (Blog & Youtube Review) and Styles P. If their lyrics were FOOD, we'd be full by track FIVE. Some of my favorite bars below. I'll just show two, but the album is pretty much all quotable.

If you didn't have no straps, you couldn't wear your necklace
Niggas hand around your throat, that's a choker reference
My ancestors took old food, made soul food
Jim Crow's a troll too, he stole the soul music
That's the blood that goes through me, so you assumin'
I could never sell my soul, they sold they soul to me
Peaceful teaching of Rumi, but don't confuse me
You mouth off for the cameras, I make a silent movie - Jay-Z on Ghost of Soulja Slim

Uh, I snap on the track like the fingers of Thanos
Como también nosotros perdonamos
A los que nos ofenden

It's all love, all Wimbledon with the pen, then
All I have in this world is my flag and my sword
I'm on a battlefield with the flag of my Lord
My shahāda is my cantada
My heart chakra light up when I make sajdah at fajr
Padre nuestro, que estás en El Cielo
Our heavenly father
Like Vince Staples said, we just wadin' in the water
My people out in Flint still bathin' in the slaughter
ICE out here rippin' families apart at the border
Satan struck Palestine with yet another mortar
Lies from the reporters
Ass shots and stripper poles for the eyes of my daughter, hm
Swing low sweet chariot, my train is on schedule
But I had to take the Underground Railroad like Harriet - Jay-E on Fruits of the Spirit
The album starts off with a great message we ALL needed to here my the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. And Mr. Farrakhan continues more knowledge on the beginning of one of my favorite joints the "Ghost Of Souja Slim. If you listen to the beat, it has a Griselda feel, especially with the gun sounds. Those same gun sounds reappear on track 6, "Universal Solder, which is another banger. And RIP Souja Slim. And RIP everyone who has lost someone recently, including our famous STARS.

Speaking of Stars, it's rumored that Jay-Z and Jay-E (NEW NICK NAME ALERT!) wrote A.P.I.D.T.A (All Praise Is Due To Allah) the same day Kobe and Gianna and others had that tragic helicopter accident. It's a soothing track that is actually therapeutic. It sounds like a Royce beat, but Khruangbin produced this melodic tune. It's a great song to end a great record. It actually makes you want to re-re-wind or start over for the young bucks reading this.

Yes, the album was released on Friday the 13th. And if you believe in Friday the 13th bad luck theories, this album will reverse your thought process. With Kobe (Jay-Z) and Lebron (Jay-E) on the court, coronavirus couldn't STOP their season (Flow). Shout out to the families that are effected by this terrible WORLD situation. Let's PRAY it gets better soon. We need more music like this to get us through these times.

I swear 2020's Hip-Hop catalog is on FIRE right now. Check out my other reviews. And I only review albums with spitters on them. That's people that can rhyme. SPITTERS ONLY!

I'm rating this album a 4.33 MICS. This is going off the 5 MIC system, "TheSource" Magazine use to do. I believe if I just listen just to the BARS on this album, it would be a FIVE mic #Classic. Not that the production wasn't killer. Jay Electronica produced most of the album and he is dope. If people are not already hitting him up for BEATS, they will now. Other producers were, No I.D., The Alchemist, Swizz Beatz, HIT-BOY, Araab Muzik, Khruangbin and G. Ry. They put some flavor on this album for sure, but I'd like to see Mr. Electronica produce his entire next project. I'm putting it into the existence.

This project is Incredible. Still early to tell if it could be a #classic or a top TEN contender for my TOP 20 Hip-Hop albums of 2020, but it's gangsta leaning that way. This year there will be so much competition. You wait and see.

The highlights of this project are it's needed right now and forever. The content is educational so lyrically incline, this will definitely be on repeat. And only having 10 tracks didn't make this album short in content, it made it just right like the porridge in Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Please check out my daughter's clothing line below. Also, my YouTube and other clothing ventures. Thanks for reading.
Cincerely Yours,

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours Dear G Fam Black, Thank you once again for participating in this interview. I know you don’t do many press features, and this is a wonderful chance for your fans to learn a bit about you while still keeping some of that mystery. I truly appreciate it. Peace, G. I’m grateful for this opportunity! - G Fam Black Questions & Answers: 1. Are you originally from Brockton Massachusetts? And where are the best places to eat? Absolutely, I was born and raised in Brockton. There are plenty of great food spots here. For the best chicken, I’d recommend “Yas Chicken” and “Birdies Hot Chicken”, which are both fantastic. For breakfast, I have to mention “Alexander's Family Restaurant”. They’ve been around since I was a kid, and their omelets are incredible. For pizza, “Cape Cod Cafe Pizza” is the way to go—it's the best bar pizza in the world, a true South Shore Massachusetts specialty. A lot of towns near Brockton brag about having the best bar pizza, but th...
