Review:

Jakakiss has been doing his typical features all around the hip-hop scene recently, keeping his bars fresh. One of his feature standouts is on Benny the Butcher's album, "The Plugs I Met". Go check that out as well if your not familiar. But Jada's been giving us a taste now and then of the bars that rank him in some people's TOP 5 Dead or Alive.

This project is mature. The music mimics Jada's voice tone with a melodic sound. Most of the album is slow temple grown up music. That music you smoke too or take long drives too. It's an incredible piece of work. It seems like some of the heavy weight producers on this project were S. Dot, Buda and Grandz and Poobs. He has some bangers on here as well, don't get it twisted. Your head will be nodding to some joints.

The highlights of the album is the messages J to the Muah delivers. It's an album is dedicated to Icepick Jay who was taking from us too soon. Jada actually delayed the album a week so he could shout out the young falling star Pop Smoke.

“The New York Hip Hop community is mourning the untimely passing of one of our brightest young stars, and I felt it was best to pause for a moment to come together and reflect,” Jada said in a press release. “The Ignatius album means a lot to me – it celebrates the life of my brother Icepick Jay, another one we lost too soon. - Hip-Hop DX

The album feels therapeutic in some way as well. It's a touching, sentiment, meaningful album that not only is helping Jada heal, but the WORLD heal. I'm listening to this on rotation. I feel that the elite lyricist are now doing albums that they want to do. They are in there zone and it's great for the culture. I feel these bars and I've lived these bars. He's also on his storytelling shit that resonates with Hip-Hop. It's a good feeling album. Artist are making it tough to critique albums in 2020, but I'm loving Rap right now. I believe with albums like this, it's going to be a great year for content.

None of the Lox members were on this one, but we all know they have like two or three albums in the cut. I'll be reviewing those as well and there other solo projects. Let's go Louch, Styles P is already killing it. Let the MONKEYS OUT! And if you reading this Sheek, check out my MonkeyNuts Hoodie below.

The album consist of great thought out features though. Nino Man kills Gov't Cheese with, "In my crib there wasn't food snacks and BET, just an old ass TV and EBT", spitting bars for days. With Dej Loaf on the hook elevates the track with her great cadence in her voice. Pusha quotes, "...no repo, tax man ain't at my peephole, here's a key-low." Check above or below for the rest of my favorites and add yours below in the comments.

I'm giving the overall ALBUM a 4.2 out of 5 MICS. It's quality material and will be going in the repeat folder for this year for sure. My FAVORITE tracks currently, because they can change are Hunting Season, Keep it 100, ME, (NYB) Need Your Best, Kisses To The Sky, Gov't Cheese and Closure.

And Kiss, if you reading or watching my YouTube Review, that's for the Quality Music. Keep these other lyricist on their toes. It's going to be a good year for #BARS.

Cincerely Yours,

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours Dear G Fam Black, Thank you once again for participating in this interview. I know you don’t do many press features, and this is a wonderful chance for your fans to learn a bit about you while still keeping some of that mystery. I truly appreciate it. Peace, G. I’m grateful for this opportunity! - G Fam Black Questions & Answers: 1. Are you originally from Brockton Massachusetts? And where are the best places to eat? Absolutely, I was born and raised in Brockton. There are plenty of great food spots here. For the best chicken, I’d recommend “Yas Chicken” and “Birdies Hot Chicken”, which are both fantastic. For breakfast, I have to mention “Alexander's Family Restaurant”. They’ve been around since I was a kid, and their omelets are incredible. For pizza, “Cape Cod Cafe Pizza” is the way to go—it's the best bar pizza in the world, a true South Shore Massachusetts specialty. A lot of towns near Brockton brag about having the best bar pizza, but th...

P-Ro is 12 FOR 12

Dear P-Ro, Thank you once again for participating in this interview. The year of 2025 was definitely a great year for you. 12 Albums in 12 months is something to be proud of. Your consistency, drive and performance shows, if you work hard, the world is yours. Questions & Answers: 01 Releasing one album per month for a year is a monumental, almost athletic creative feat. What was the core philosophy or personal need that drove this marathon? Was it to break a habit, prove something, or simply because the music was overflowing? -It was actually a little bit of all those, and wanting to challenge myself with a goal and try to get better at being organized. The list of projects I made in December looks different than what I ended up doing. If I wasn't dedicated to monthly drops, I probably wouldn't have made 4-5 of the ones I did. It's great to have a team that's like-minded and can dive in with me when I need them and make great, fun music together and share it with th...

How To Support Your Local Rapper/Producer?

The Core Problem: The Illusion of Support vs. Real Financial Impact Many fans believe that streaming a song, watching a music video, or following an artist on social media is "support." While this is valuable for visibility, it provides almost no direct income, especially for artists without major label backing. The Streaming Chasm:  It's well-known that streaming payouts are meager. An artist might need  hundreds of thousands of streams  just to earn a modest monthly rent. For underground rappers without playlist placements or algorithmic favor, this is an insurmountable hurdle. The "Exposure" Fallacy:  Many shows, especially for opening acts or in competitive markets, are "pay-to-play" or offer minimal guarantees. Playing for "exposure" doesn't pay bills. So, if streaming and low-tier shows don't cut it, how  can  fans genuinely support rappers, especially underground ones? Let's break it down by impact. Tier 1: The Lifeblood ...
