Joyner Lucas Album REVIEW

Can you say passion and creativity? Well those are just a couple of words to describe Joyner Lucas from Worchester Massachusetts. This artist has been in my backyard (Massachusetts) putting MC's on their toes for quite sometime. He recorded under the name G-Storm and then Future Joyner back when and now goes by Joyner Lucas. He was also in a group called "Film Skool Rejekts". He chose to drop the Future from his name, when the artist FUTURE became famous.

Below is the written blog version, I also have a YouTube version below. So, click and subscribe after reading this please.

I'll be reviewing mostly on FRIDAYS or the weekend.

My daughter and I also have clothing line. Please click below to support. Thanks in advance. Now, BACK to our regularly scheduled REVIEW.

Review:

Joyner's 3rd LP has finally been released after almost 2 years. He's been teasing us with dropping singles, but that's the Music industry now, so I'm use to it. I believe I've skipped at least five songs because I already heard them. Since the album is focused on ADHD, I'm pretty sure it's reasonable to do so. I might have #ADHD myself after listening to this album.

We all know that are fans, that he has lyrics for days. The thing I love about him is, he structures his songs and albums very well as projects. He's an artist that makes you listen to his bars. Most of his tracks are slow tempo in the beginning as he spits leading to the bass drop and then he gets more grimy. I've been a fan since the WORLD publicized him. He's a artist that you vote for to WIN.

He's skits fit the formula of the album, from the therapist skits to the two well known comedians Chris Rock and Kevin Hart. The skits are spread out well and keep the album flowing well.

The producers on the album are doing there thing as well. The composers must of selected tracks that were in the same flow pattern as Joyner, but completely different. The songs blend well with the exception of a few. I wouldn't change the orders of the songs, I would just remove a couple. For example, I could of went without another Chris Brown joint. Okay Joyner, you know Mr. Brown.

Joyner's BEST songs are usually the one's that have structure. Take "Revenge" for example. It feels like he had direction with this track. Like he had the Title of the song and then wrote the lyrics. I wouldn't be surprised if that was his process. Seems like he also thinks of the videos prior to writing the lyrics. And I bet he's a writer too, not a Benny The Butcher or Jay-Z mental storage rapper. Those guys don't use PAPER or a phone unless they don't want to forget about a great line. And properly not even then. Biggie was another MC that didn't write. Not that there is something wrong with that. LOL!

One of his other stand out joints is "Will". He made an entire song about being Will Smith's shoes. And Will already responded on TikTok telling him that he is very humble and he cannot wait to meet him. You gotta love the fast pace of social media. That would actually be a great collaboration between those two gentlemen. Maybe the remix? I'm putting it in the air people. Check out the video as well. Mr. Lucas is one of the most creative artist with his videos.

I'm blessing Joyner with a 3.8 MIC rating. He can flow with the best of them, his beats were good and his album structure and concept was great. Joyner Lucas, if you reading or watching my YOUTUBE review, thanks for this quality piece of work and keep it coming. Hip-Hop needs you and your mindset. We need your ADHD.

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours Dear G Fam Black, Thank you once again for participating in this interview. I know you don’t do many press features, and this is a wonderful chance for your fans to learn a bit about you while still keeping some of that mystery. I truly appreciate it. Peace, G. I’m grateful for this opportunity! - G Fam Black Questions & Answers: 1. Are you originally from Brockton Massachusetts? And where are the best places to eat? Absolutely, I was born and raised in Brockton. There are plenty of great food spots here. For the best chicken, I’d recommend “Yas Chicken” and “Birdies Hot Chicken”, which are both fantastic. For breakfast, I have to mention “Alexander's Family Restaurant”. They’ve been around since I was a kid, and their omelets are incredible. For pizza, “Cape Cod Cafe Pizza” is the way to go—it's the best bar pizza in the world, a true South Shore Massachusetts specialty. A lot of towns near Brockton brag about having the best bar pizza, but th...

P-Ro is 12 FOR 12

Dear P-Ro, Thank you once again for participating in this interview. The year of 2025 was definitely a great year for you. 12 Albums in 12 months is something to be proud of. Your consistency, drive and performance shows, if you work hard, the world is yours. Questions & Answers: 01 Releasing one album per month for a year is a monumental, almost athletic creative feat. What was the core philosophy or personal need that drove this marathon? Was it to break a habit, prove something, or simply because the music was overflowing? -It was actually a little bit of all those, and wanting to challenge myself with a goal and try to get better at being organized. The list of projects I made in December looks different than what I ended up doing. If I wasn't dedicated to monthly drops, I probably wouldn't have made 4-5 of the ones I did. It's great to have a team that's like-minded and can dive in with me when I need them and make great, fun music together and share it with th...

How To Support Your Local Rapper/Producer?

The Core Problem: The Illusion of Support vs. Real Financial Impact Many fans believe that streaming a song, watching a music video, or following an artist on social media is "support." While this is valuable for visibility, it provides almost no direct income, especially for artists without major label backing. The Streaming Chasm:  It's well-known that streaming payouts are meager. An artist might need  hundreds of thousands of streams  just to earn a modest monthly rent. For underground rappers without playlist placements or algorithmic favor, this is an insurmountable hurdle. The "Exposure" Fallacy:  Many shows, especially for opening acts or in competitive markets, are "pay-to-play" or offer minimal guarantees. Playing for "exposure" doesn't pay bills. So, if streaming and low-tier shows don't cut it, how  can  fans genuinely support rappers, especially underground ones? Let's break it down by impact. Tier 1: The Lifeblood ...
