Review:

Westside Gunn starts off the album with AA Rashid preaching about being GOD, which fits the premise of this project perfectly. Then Westside goes in on, "Michael Irvin" with "...FLYGOD, the one who made thunder and lightning (Uh)/Who made water wet, I need Sly out confinement/My coke positive, you drop yours, the shit minus/Woke up, middle of the night, my celly cryin'"

After the actual first song, it seems like the album took a left and started to cater to artist that are in his circle. Stove God Cook stops by on three tracks and makes sure people will remember his name. He went in so heavy on these tracks, I'm guessing these are extra tracks from a duet record. So, I'm the first to say, Westside & Stove God are putting out a project soon. I'm excited.

Wear velvet Louis jacket, I'm Ron Burgundy
See the heat comin' off the hundreds, the money burnin' (We hot)
These labels still jerkin'
I heard your deal came with a hundred thousand and some Jergens - Stove God Cooks (Jose Canseco)

Then Mr. Westside shares the stage with other MC'S, poets and word smiths. On "Lil Cease" newcomer Armani Caesar blesses the mic like she was supposed to be on the "Benjamin Remix". I'll be listening for future sounds from this MC.

Yo, it's the A-R-M-A-N-I Caesar, Leo (Woo)
The flow is frío, so dope, could sell it by the kilo (Yeah)
Tell 'em I want the smoke like I'm runnin' hot (Hah)
Couldn't wait to see how I was comin' like a money shot (Come on) - Armani Caesar (Lil Cease)

Then he brings in some veteran MC'S on "Buffs vs. Wires" with Benny the Butcher and Boldly James. It's like Mr. Westside has the cheat code to create a good album. The circle of talent around him is amazing. And this Daringer track didn't disappoint as normal. I would continue to quote these artist, but then I'll be cheating with writing my blog. Just listening to these artist alone, is like going to school. These individuals are professors when they rhyme.

And you can't have a project without the QUEEN Keisha Plum dropping some knowledge through her powerful poetry. Keisha and FlyGod have a good vibe together. On "Drive By Love" it's like they are face to face when they created this song. Like there lips almost touch when, Keisha says, "...Slut me out, pussy taste like fresh fruit/Plum paradise, Ace of Spades sippin'/Sex drippin'" Get it girl. Fire artist people. Look her up.

Let's not forget the young King Rome Streetz. Word is, his verse was the only one left to complete the album. Shout out to Rome for making the album. You blessed the mic and I'm looking forward to hearing more solo work brother.

These MC'S had it easy working with the elite production on this project. Daringer and the Conductor did two tracks a piece. DJ Shay punished a track. Then there were new comers to me that blessed this album as much as the recognizable producers. So shout out to Streetrunner1, Denny LAflare, JR Swiftz, Chuck Inglish and Sadhu Gold. Your flowers are here.

I'm pretty sure I mention before, that Westside Gunn's voice is an instrument. He reminds me of Easy E from the legendary group NWA. He has a couple of similar qualities. He's the leader of the group, he has an annoying voice (Gotta get use to it.) and there backgrounds match a bit when it comes to the streets. This comparison is a compliment on both ends.

I like how Mr. Gunn is into wrestling. How he uses the clips throughout all his projects. What I've noticed is, wrestling was very sexist, racist and violent. They were so disrespectful back in the day. Different times, different people.

All and All, this album is very well put together. I think Westside has a good ear for music and talented MC's. With the bars not being up to 4 - 5 mic status, it brings this rating to only 3.83 MICS. The MC's around him on this project are 4 Mics or better, but they are the one's that carried this album. I didn't hear much of Westside Gunn for a solo project.

G Fam Black VS Ceverely Yours Dear G Fam Black, Thank you once again for participating in this interview. I know you don’t do many press features, and this is a wonderful chance for your fans to learn a bit about you while still keeping some of that mystery. I truly appreciate it. Peace, G. I’m grateful for this opportunity! - G Fam Black Questions & Answers: 1. Are you originally from Brockton Massachusetts? And where are the best places to eat? Absolutely, I was born and raised in Brockton. There are plenty of great food spots here. For the best chicken, I’d recommend “Yas Chicken” and “Birdies Hot Chicken”, which are both fantastic. For breakfast, I have to mention “Alexander's Family Restaurant”. They’ve been around since I was a kid, and their omelets are incredible. For pizza, “Cape Cod Cafe Pizza” is the way to go—it's the best bar pizza in the world, a true South Shore Massachusetts specialty. A lot of towns near Brockton brag about having the best bar pizza, but th...
