I've been going back and forth on if I should review this Mixtape. It's a project that you have to listen to numerous times to consume all the flavor of it. All the hard work and time this MC put into it. I've grown to appreciate it now and below are my thoughts. Let's go. It's GRAFH TIME! Well Grafh and DJ Green Lantern time. It's the third installment of their Oracle series. Check out 1 & 2 and other projects by these KINGS.

Review:
I've been a Grafh fan for sometime now. I was supposed to review this earlier this month, but I've just been listening to it over and over. I always get reminded to review it because Grafh shows up on someone else's project and murders the track. I be like, "Oh yeah, I have to get to that album." And there is already a buzz in the industry, saying this maybe the Hip-Hop Album of the Year.
Have you ever listen to a project and then put it down for a couple of days? Then listen again and still put it down for another couple of days. This is the project that had me in that zone. This album sonic-ally has me hyped about the future of Hip-Hop. We are in good hands with Grafh.
There's only like one or two skippable joints on this album. The Majority of the project makes your ears and soul curious for more. They keep your three second attention span entertained. DJ Green Lantern seems to dominate the album with six songs that keep the head bobbin' and toes tapping. Other production that had my soul in the headlock are, Pete Rock (Legend), Harry Fraud, DJ Analyze, Nails, Udae, Mr. Porter and Soulsearchers. They all had something to do with this projects sonic and rhythmic flow and ALL should be praised for their talent and passion for the sport of Hip-Hop.
Let's talk about the MC'S Mr. Oracle brought to his round table. I would argue, they are something not to be FuCked WiT! Benny The Butcher on "Blow" came to go toe to toe with Grafh. And if I have to stop this blog and tell you why any of these MC's are a problem, please stop reading and jump off the highest sidewalk curb.
Like I was saying, Benny came and dropped off a quotable, but Grafh even outshines the lyrical PRINCE. If ya'll don't know, I'm claiming Benny as one of the MCS in line for the CROWN. What crown you ask. THE KING HOV CROWN that is! But with Grafh spittin like this on this project, the brothers of the KINGDOM may have to battle or something. Maybe on VERZUZ. Shout out to Timberland and Swiss Beats for VERZUZ on Instagram.
And let's not get it twisted. There are other ARTIST in line for the LYRICAL crown as well this year. How about Che-Noir? She could take the crown. It's not just a MALE crown. It's universal. What about 38 Spesh? His lyrical prowl is amazing and Premo already gave him the salute on his production. What about RJ Payne? Lyrical giant just summoned by Benny. Not signed, summoned like Payne said. What about Royce? His last album alone should be in the Hip-Hop Museum. I can go on, but I'll be giving away my artist of the year list. And NOW, Graph is a topic.
Next, Conway the Machine on "Pray" also went bar for bar with Grafh. The features that didn't fit this album were Crooked I and Jag on "Let Me See It" with DJ Green Lantern on production. If I was Grafh, I would of left this off or put this track on another mix-tape or something. To me it didn't fit the album. The MC's murdered the track though, but I didn't like the track. But I bet this song is tough down South or the West Coast.
The album gets back on track with "Who Shot Ya" with lyricist Hopsin from Los Angeles California. Then he brings it back East Coast with Royce Da 5'9" on "Agenda". And you already know Royce added to this FIRE project with his incredible brain waves. Matter a fact, go listen to "The Allegory" by Royce after you finish reading this, watching my YouTube Video's, Subscribing and buying all my MERCH. LOL! I man can only dream. At least listen to The Allegory. It's very important to the culture.
This project is all about Grafh though. Even though he has some heavy hitters on here with him, he outshines them with all of the solo joints on here. He's very talented with story telling and word play. I like the way he entertains us with his witty banter on his past life and be able to have the capability to throw in some gems for the brain cells. So if your reading or watching my review, thank you Grafh for this project. Hip-Hop is in good faith.
And in good faith, this Mixtape is rated 4.5 MICS. It's well deserved and if it was just the lyrics, it would be a 5.0. Great project Grafh and DJ Green Lantern.
